  • Final lane markings for the westbound section are scheduled for early September.

  • The final night of paving occurred on August 24th and the SMA paving is now complete.
  • Work underneath the bridge will continue through the fall and potentially during the winter.

July 2011 - Construction Update

Work continues on the Quesnell Bridge with the east side barrier currently under construction. The concrete barrier connections to both bridges are also underway and the majority of the paving progress was completed on July 25 with only the tie-ins on both sides of the bridges remaining on Whitemud Drive. This paving will be done once all of the barrier work has been completed.

Poor weather throughout July has delayed the completion of the project until September 17, at which time 4 lanes in each direction will be operational. Work will continue on beneath the bridge to remove scaffolding and complete the clean up of the area, this stage could potentially run into the winter months.
