We Want to Hear from You
Edmontonians love Whyte Avenue for lots of different reasons. This is why it's important to us to hear your comments, ideas and concerns.
Fill out our workbook and email it to us to share your thoughts and ideas by June 31, 2016.
We want to know what you think about:
- Opportunities and constraints. What is the potential for Whyte Avenue? What is/isn’t working now?
- Vision and Values. What is important to you about how Whyte Avenue develops in the future?
- Desired image, facilities and amenities. What is the future character of Whyte Avenue you would like to see? What do you wish was available on Whyte Avenue?
The project team will use this input and feedback from the community and other stakeholders to develop a draft design vision, set of principles and concepts over the summer. A second workshop is targeted for late September.
Our Public Engagement Focus
Public engagement is a key factor in the success of this project. We will encourage community engagement to spark discussion, bring forward concerns, expectations and ideas to inform the study. Public events and online opportunities will allow residents, communities, businesses and industry representatives to provide their input. Key public engagement opportunities include:
- Phase 1 to 4 - Stakeholder Discussions
- Phase 1 - Public Open House Workshop #1
- Phase 2 - Public Open House Workshop #2
- Phase 3 - Public Meeting
- Phase 4 - City Planning Committee Meeting
Additional opportunities will be considered throughout the study process as resources allow.
