Parsons Road Widening
About the Project
In order to meet growing demand in the South Edmonton Common area, the City of Edmonton has approved a concept plan for the widening of Parsons Road from Anthony Henday Drive to 19 Avenue NW. All existing accesses and intersections will be maintained and a connection to Karl Clark Road will be added.

- 2 km of roadway widening to a four-lane arterial road with turning lanes

Where We Are Today
Preliminary design of the roadway was completed in the summer of 2014. The concept plan was finalized in 2012.

June 2014 - Project Update
The preliminary design of the Parsons Road Widening has been completed. At present, the detailed design and construction of the work is not funded.
March 2013 - Project Update
The Parsons Road Widening project has moved from Concept stage into Design stage. The concept plans have been approved and the design phase will begin shortly.
