Development on Jasper Avenue
Jasper Avenue between 109 Street and 124 Street is changing. The Oliver Redevelopment Plan, consolidated in March 2016, builds on the existing character of Oliver as a blend of housing types and forms oriented toward a range of households, while increasing flexibility for mixed-use development opportunities. The plan also calls for the development of a high quality pedestrian oriented commercial corridor along Jasper Avenue as well as infrastructure for cyclists.
The change in the ARP has resulted in an explosion of transformative projects along the roadway that once constructed will bring more people to the neighbourhoood, enhance street-level vitality and boost economic activity of the area.
