About the Project
The City of Edmonton and Strathcona County have jointly developed concept plans for 17 Street from Whitemud Drive to Knightsbridge Road (105 Avenue). In response to growing traffic volumes and future development opportunities, 17 Street planning will include additional lanes, with turning lanes where necessary.

June 2013
The concept plan for the corridor has been completed and approved. Design and construction work will begin once funding becomes available.

The City of Edmonton, in cooperation with Strathcona County, held a Public Meeting for residents and business owners to learn more about the 17 Street Corridor Planning Study. City and County representatives and consultants were available to provide details on the project and to answer questions.
