On-Street Bike Routes
April 17, 2013 - Bike Routes Meeting
This meeting was an opportunity to learn more about bike lanes planned for 2013. Further consultation on bike routes for 76 Avenue and 132 Avenue will take place in the coming months.
Current Projects
In 2013, the City is planning to install another 23 km to the City's on-street bike route network.
Plans for on-street bike routes on 76 Avenue, 121 Avenue, and 132 Avenue have been deferred.

About the Project
The City is installing dedicated bicycle lanes and shared-use lane markings. Cycling is a sustainable mode of transportation, which is inexpensive, healthy and environmentally friendly.
Along with carpooling, walking and public transportation, cycling offers an opportunity to:
Edmonton is a cycle-friendly city. The City of Edmonton plans to install 500 km of on-street cycling features. It's all part of a larger plan to create an integrated bicycle network, as envisioned in the City's Bicycle Transportation Plan.
