About the Program
The Laurier Heights neighbourhood, west of 139 Street, was chosen for reconstruction beginning in 2014. Neighbourhood reconstruction is a type of neighbourhood renewal that involves road reconstruction and repaving, as well as replacement of streetlights and reconstruction of sidewalks, curb and gutter. Alley renewal is not part of neighbourhood reconstruction.
