Bus Route Snow Removal
Unlike the seasonal parking ban, which remains in effect across Edmonton until all collector/bus routes have been plowed, the targeted parking ban will be in effect only during specific times on specific collector/bus routes where windrows are being removed. Temporary ‘No Parking’ signs will be placed 24 hours before work begins on targeted routes.
Vehicles parked on targeted parking ban routes must be removed before work begins on targeted routes, therefore the City will enforce the targeted parking ban with tickets and towing between 7am and 7pm while windrows are being removed.
Due to significant snow accumulation in December and January, the City will be removing excess snow from residential bus/collector routes starting Monday, January 19, 2015.
Parking restrictions will run from Monday through Friday, 7am until 7pm. Residents will be able to park on street evenings and weekends.
Temporary ‘no parking’ signs will be placed 24 hours in advance in areas where work is taking place, and strict enforcement in the form of both ticketing and towing will take place before crews bring in the heavy equipment necessary for the operation.
Windrow removal will take approximately three weeks, during which time blowers and trucks need to have unobstructed access to those roads.
