Belgravia has been chosen for reconstruction in spring 2017.
The section of McKernan west of 114 Street will be reconstructed along with Belgravia’s Neighbourhood Renewal.
The rest of McKernan has also been chosen for reconstruction in spring 2017. More information about McKernan’s Neighbourhood renewal is available at Building Great Neighbourhoods – McKernan.
Neighbourhood reconstruction is a type of neighbourhood renewal that involves road reconstruction and repaving, as well as replacement of streetlights and reconstruction of sidewalks, curb and gutter. Alley renewal is not part of neighbourhood reconstruction.
Property owners will have the opportunity to make choices about what they will pay for during neighbourhood reconstruction via local improvements of sidewalks and decorative streetlights.
A series of public open houses will be scheduled which will give residents the opportunity to view the design plans and discuss details with the Project Team. Details of those meetings will be available on this page.
