ETS Spring Service Changes

Changes to ETS service this spring are limited mainly to removal of the additional post secondary service due to the end of the school term.  Service changes go into effect on Sunday, April 28.

The permanent closure of 96 Street between 102 and 102A Avenues will affect routes 14, 52 and 109 traveling through that area.

We’ve added time to routes traveling on Scona Road to deal with the potential for increased traffic due to the planned closure of Saskatchewan Drive and Queen Elizabeth Park Road. Route 52 will also go on detour.

Permanent Service Changes

Route 14

• Changed route during weekday peak times to travel on 95 Street instead of 96 Street.

Route 52

• Added travel time to round trips during weekday peak and midday times and Saturday midday for Saskatchewan Drive and Queen Elizabeth Park Road construction.
• Changed route downtown to use 95 Street instead of 96 Street.

Route 67

• Changed route during weekday off peak times, and Saturday/Sunday to run on Silverberry Road and 33A Avenue loop using a small bus, due to 17 Street closure.

Route 68

• Changed the following trips to leave Mill Woods TC earlier: 
  Weekday AM peak trips 1 minute earlier
  Weekday midday trips 4 minutes earlier
  Saturday midday trips 2 minutes earlier

Route 70

• Added travel time to weekday PM peak periods.

Route 81

• Added 15 minutes travel time to round trips during weekday peak hours for Saskatchewan Drive and Queen Elizabeth Park Road construction

Route 152

• Shifted weekday trip leaving Northgate TC at 9:30pm to leave 7 minutes later.

Route 306

• Added Saturday trip at 7:02am leaving 83 Street & 90 Avenue for Meadows TC.

New Temporary Route

Route 398

• New temporary small bus route running between 125 Street & Stony Plain Road to 138 Street & 102 Avenue during construction on Stony Plain Road. 
• Frequency is 15 minutes during weekdays and midday Saturday; 30 minute service Saturday morning and evening, and Sunday.

Post Secondary Changes

The Winter Term U-Pass is not valid after April 30, 2013. 

With the end of  Fall and Winter sessions, service to the U of A, MacEwan and NAIT is reduced between May and September on the following routes: 

• Routes 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 15, 30, 43, 50, 51, 53, 73, 106, 128 and 130.

The following post secondary special routes are cancelled until September:

• Routes 54, 97, 98 and 399

Fort Edmonton/Valley Zoo Shuttle

Route 596

• This summer route travels between South Campus/Fort Edmonton Park Transit Centre, Fort Edmonton Park and the Valley Zoo. 
• Provides weekday, Saturday and Sunday service. 
• First day of service is Saturday, May 18, 2013.

Fort Edmonton Shuttle

Route 595

• This new summer route travels between South Campus/Fort Edmonton Park Transit Centre, and Fort Edmonton Park. 
• Provides weekday, Saturday and Sunday service on a 20 minute frequency. 
• First day of service is Saturday, May 18, 2013.

Stony Plain Road Closure
ETS routes will detoured along 102 Avenue between 124 - 142 Street during the rehabilitation project for the Stony Plain Road Bridge over Groat Road.  Free local shuttle service will be available from April 28 - August 31.
