West LRT
Open Houses will be held on September 7-8. The City will present a potential LRT alignment, station locations, and an access plan for review and feedback from the public.
Southeast LRT
Open Houses will be held on September 14-15. The City will present a potential LRT alignment, station locations, and an access plan for review and feedback from the public.
Green TRIP Funding
On June 22, 2010 the Government of Alberta announced $2 billion for its Green Transit Incentives Program (Green TRIP), $800 million of which will be dedicated to the Capital Region. Green TRIP is a provincial initiative to provide capital funding assistance for sustainable public transit infrastructure and technology throughout Alberta. The City of Edmonton intends to apply for Green TRIP funding for LRT projects.
Downtown LRT Connector
Following the public hearing on June 21, City Council approved the surface downtown section of LRT.
Northwest LRT
On July 7, City Council approved the 113A Street Corridor as the Northwest LRT Route.
Platform Extensions at Health Sciences & McKernan/Belgravia
LRT platforms at Health Sciences and McKernan/Belgravia Stations are being extended.

The LRT Network Plan identifies how the City will expand Edmonton’s LRT system to achieve an integrated, city-wide transportation network.
