U-Pass Update – September 2010
Following a successful three-year U-Pass pilot with the University of Alberta and Grant MacEwan University, Edmonton City Council approved the renewal and expansion of the U-Pass program from 2010 to 2013. In the spring, students at the University of Alberta, MacEwan University, and also at NAIT voted to participate in the U-Pass program. Edmonton Transit is pleased to welcome qualifying full-time students at NAIT campuses to U-Pass.
For qualifying students, Fall Term 2010 U-Pass stickers are now available on participating campuses. Please use the web links below for information on U-Pass distribution locations at your campus.
Please note that there is no grace period for U-Pass. If you do not have a valid sticker, please pay the regular cash fare for transit service. Students traveling on buses and LRT who continue to use their U-Pass outside the validity period risk a $110 fine for fare evasion.
