Fares
All transit users must pay a fare or be in possession of a valid transfer, ticket or pass as proof of payment of fare to ride ETS.
Failure to do so can result in a fine of $250.00.
ETS offers a variety of fares and pass products for use on bus, Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Disabled Adult Transit Service (DATS).
Valid fare includes cash, tickets, transfers and passes.
• ETS uses a “timed transfer” fare system. All fare products must be dated and/or timed with an expiry to be valid.
• Users paying for single rides with cash or tickets are permitted up to 90 minutes of travel on the system on bus and LRT with the one fare. On buses, a paper transfer valid for up to 90 minutes from time of issue is provided to use on connecting trips on bus and LRT.
• On LRT, tickets must be validated prior to entering proof of payment zones and will be imprinted with expiration time which is 90 minutes from the time of validation.
• Customers using passes must display their pass to bus operators upon boarding transit vehicles, or have their valid pass with them when travelling on LRT to display to ETS Fare Agents doing fare checks.
