ETS Christmas Light Tours

ETS volunteers return in 2011 with our popular Christmas Lights Tours. Tours are running on:

Saturday, December 10 5:45pm, 6pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm
Sunday, December 11 5:45pm, 6pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm
Friday, December 16 6pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm
Saturday, December 17 5:45pm, 6pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm
Sunday, December 18 5:45pm, 6pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm

All tours depart Northbound from Scotia Place 10060 - Jasper Avenue at Bus Stop #1346. Tours highlights include  downtown, Candy Cane Lane, Whyte Avenue and Saskatchewan Drive as well as our regular stop at the Alberta Legislature. Each tour can accommodate two wheelchair/scooter positions. Paid parking is available at the Scotia Place Parkade (entrance on 101 Street).

Note: The pick up/drop off location has been moved to Scotia Place 10060 - Jasper Avenue, Bus Stop #1346.

Ticket prices for 2011 - $3.00
Children under 5 are free and sit on lap.

You can purchase a maximum of 8 tickets. All proceeds go to the Donate-a-Ride program.

Tickets are sold through Tix on the Square (9920 - 102 Avenue). You can purchase tickets in person, online at http://www.tixonthesquare.ca/ or by calling 780-420-1757. There is a $1.50 charge per transaction when buying tickets by phone or internet, and you can pay with Visa, Master Card or American Express.

Tickets will not be held without payment and all sales are final – no refunds or exchanges.

Tickets must be picked up in person prior to your tour, during Tix on the Square business hours (9:30am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 9:30am - 4pm on Saturday).


Free New Year's Eve Transit

Start your New Year on a safe note -- take transit to your New Year’s Eve celebrations.  ETS free service starts at 4pm on December 31, continuing until 3:30am on January 1.  

Service information for the system you’ll be using is available from the ETS Trip Planner, St. Albert Transit at 780-418-6060 or Strathcona County Transit at 780-464-7433.  

Money collected in ETS fare boxes on New Year’s Eve is given to the DONATE A RIDE campaign. 

Both St. Albert and Strathcona County transit systems will be starting their free New Year’s Eve service at 4pm as well.

ETS community shuttle service for The Ridge New Year's Eve event  

 

Special ETS Fireworks Service

Extra late night service from transit centres

has been added to provide service before and after the fireworks display. 

Service will begin at approximately 9pm.  Buses providing this extra service will travel to and from Downtown, near Churchill Square. LRT frequency will be increased before and after the fireworks.
