About the EPark Trial

The City conducted a trial using Calgary’s Parkplus system to improve the efficiency of downtown parking. The EPark trial tested new systems and services that would eventually be introduced to the public. The goal was to improve parking convenience at City run facilities with alternative payment options. The results of this trial have been compiled and the results were favourable.

This was a cooperative effort between the City of Calgary and the City of Edmonton using a technology exchange program. Edmonton provided Calgary with the use of its LED Street Light technology along with technical support for their design evaluations. In exchange Edmonton received the use of the Parkplus System for the purpose of the trial.
