Walkable Edmonton, interested citizens and Edmonton's Community Leagues have partnered to develop community-focused walking maps. The Communities on Foot Map Series diagrams what is important to active living in your community.

Map Survey Project
Our partners at the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta were able to undertake an evaluation of the Avenues Communities Walking Map.

Current Walking Map Project
The Gold Bar Community League is championing a project to develop a walking map of their five neighbourhoods, as a part of the City of Edmonton's Communities on Foot Series. This collaboration will result in a rich map that will be useful for all residents.

Benefits of Participating
The Communities on Foot mapping project will help our communities create a walking route map which highlights local treasures.
We are looking for a diverse group to provide input into the map. The map is for the young, the old, the very active, and the less active.
Take a Walk
Prior to the session, walk your neighbourhood with a purpose. Look for points of interest, hot spots, local destinations, etc.
Then join us for the workshop and share your ideas.
