Curb Crossing

What is a curb crossing?

Curb crossingThe height of the curb is lowered to make it easier for vehicles to access the driveway. Construction crews remove the old concrete and pour new concrete from the edge of the street to your driveway.

What is the advantage of having the City do the job?

  • No upfront costs and yearly rates.
  • Cost can be spread evenly over 20 years.
  • It’s applied to property taxes as “Local Improvement”.
  • “Local Improvement” payments begin a year after construction is completed.
  • Costs are competitive.
  • Multiple curb crossings combined into a single contract allow for competitive markets and pricing.
  • Product is the highest quality.
  • The City only permits qualified contractors.
  • Work is guaranteed and inspected by the City to ensure all standards are met.

How is payment calculated?

Two options:

  • Homeowners can pay the total amount in one payment.
  • The cost can be spread over 20 years on homeowner’s property taxes.
