Transit Strategy - About the Project

The City is developing a Transit Strategy that will help us identify the long term vision for Transit. It will guide development of and investment in the transit system, which is a foundational element to building a great city.

  • The Transit Strategy will be a long term vision for transit and a 10 year plan of how to move towards that vision, including goals and actions.
  • This project is a pilot project for the Council Initiative on Public Engagement. We’re Try new approaches, testing the learnings and making greater efforts to go where people are.
  • We’re also working on other policies related to transit including the Transit Service Standards Policy and the Transit Fare Policy.
