Building a Vision and Strategic Plan for Waste Management Services
Over 20 years ago, Waste Management Services (WMS) developed a strategic plan with public input to create a world-class system for waste processing and disposal.
Now that we’ve almost accomplished the goals outlined in that plan, WMS is again looking ahead and developing a 20-year strategic plan for the future of waste management in Edmonton. The first step is a vision statement that will help guide our strategic planning. Edmontonians provided feedback on this in October's Edmonton Insight Community Survey (results of which will be published here when available).
The vision statement will be shared with the public once it has been approved by City Council. We will then be asking for public input to guide our strategic planning phase (starting in the spring of 2016).
We look forward to hearing your thoughts on how we can continue to be a world-class city for waste management.
