Cemeteries Master Plan
Project Overview
The Master Plan will define the requirements for the future development of South Haven and Northern Lights Cemeteries including public amenities, booking and sales areas, landscaping, entrance features and access and roadways. Internment options being considered are burial plots, veteran’s area, columbaria, indoor niches, family ossuaries, and scattering grounds.
We strive to be inclusive of all residents, so those with cultural or faith-based burial needs or those who face financial challenges, feel welcome at these cemeteries. Through development, we will be respectful of needs and uses by the neighbouring communities and residents. The City of Edmonton has been working on initial Concept Plans.
