Communities in Bloom
Communities in Bloom celebrates flourishing communities through a national competition to foster civic pride, local beauty and environmental responsibility.
Municipalities are evaluated on 6 criteria:
- Tidiness
- Environmental Action
- Heritage Conservation
- Urban Forestry
- Landscapes
- Floral Displays
Four sectors are examined within each criterion:
- Municipal
- Businesses / Institutions
- Residential
- Community Involvement
The City of Edmonton participates annually in Communities in Bloom. As a previous National Finalist, Edmonton is evaluated as a non-competitive participant to maintain our Circle of Excellence rating.
