Where to Access Affordable Housing

If you need a place to live, or need help with rent, the following resources are available to assist you with finding an affordable place.

For private market place housing opportunities:

Soonest available rental units can be found in neighbourhoods--look for 'For Rent' signs
Rental listing websites

For subsidized opportunities:

Contact 211 Edmonton.com, a single access point to the health, human services, community resources, and government assistance people need every day as well as in times of crisis. 211 has lists of all subsidized opportunities.

For subsidized opportunities that have received some City funding:

All subsidized housing is waitlisted.

If you need emergency accommodation, below are links to find the appropriate emergency shelters. Shelters provide temporary, basic accommodation.

Please contact the Assessment and Short Term Counselling Referral Line to speak to a social worker about your housing situation and access housing supports. All subsidized housing is waitlisted.

If you are having difficulties with your landlord, you can contact the City of Edmonton Landlord and Tenant Advisory Board.
