Wildlife Rehab

Litter poses a potential hazard for wildlife because animals or birds may become entangled in it, be poisoned by it, or be struck by a car when investigating it. Capital City Clean Up works with the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton to spread the message that littering affects not only our environment aesthetically but also our ecosystems and all living things within it. Each year the Society receives a number of wildlife patients found in distress after coming in contact with litter or eating discarded litter found on the ground.
