| One-time Space Subsidy | Up to 70% of rental costs for a one-time event to a maximum of $5,000 a year per group. |
Not-for-profit ethnocultural organization. Emerging ethnocultural group. |
May or may not be a registered or incorporated not-for-profit organization. Copy of receipt showing payment or copy of rental agreement showing cost of rental. Proof that the group has the funds to pay the remaining 30% of the rent. |
| Monthly Space Subsidy | Up to 50% of monthly rental costs to a maximum of $5,000 per year per group. | Not-for-profit registered ethnocultural organizations. |
Must be registered or incorporated not-for-profit. Submit a signed copy of the rental agreement showing rental amount and lease start and end dates. Submit proof that the group has the funds to pay the remaining 50% of the rent. |
| Organizational Development |
Up to $2,500. Grant to support the start up costs of new organizations (e.g. fees for name search, incorporation costs, computer, office supplies). Board and volunteer development. |
New groups in the process of registering. Newly registered groups. Note: Second time applicants may be considered upon submission of a report on the use of prior grant including copies of receipts, and the availability of funds. |
Must be in the process of registering or recently registered or incorporated not-for-profit organization or in the process of becoming so. |
| Community Projects up to $5,000 |
First or second time grant applicants. Organizations with small or short term projects. |
May or may not be registered or incorporated as a not-for-profit ethnocultural organization | |
| Community Projects |
Up to $10,000. Organizations may be considered for more than one project grant per year depending on their previous experience. |
Ethnocultural not-for-profit organizations with a history of providing projects in their community. | Must be registered or incorporated as a not-for-profit ethnocultural organization. |
| Matched Program Grant |
Up to $20,000. Organizations may be considered for more than one matching program grant per year depending on their previous experience. |
Not-for-profit ethnocultural organizations with an established track record of successful community projects and/or programs. Immigrant serving organizations who are working with an emerging community with the goal of helping the community group becoming independent. |
Must be registered or incorporated as a not-for-profit organization. Must show proof of matching component (combination of financial, volunteer time, in-kind contributions). |
