Newcomer's Guide

The 28-page Edmonton Newcomers Guide, produced with assistance from Alberta Employment and Immigration, gives information about a variety of services in Edmonton including:
- housing,
- policing,
- garbage collection,
- transportation,
- public transit,
- education, health,
- recreation and leisure,
- libraries and municipal government
The guide is intended to provide an overview of information that will help new arrivals to the city settle sooner. It is by no means exhaustive in its information.
New Arrivals to the city are encouraged to go the Citizen and New Arrival Information Centre at the main floor of City Hall or to call 311 for more information on their new home town.
