Property Assessment
To ensure all Edmonton property owners pay their fair share of municipal and provincial education property taxes, the City uses a property assessment process as established by the provincial government.
About the Service
All properties in Edmonton are assessed every year. Property assessment notices are mailed to property owners early in January of each year. Assessments are based upon the market value of property on July 1 of the year previous to the taxation year.
