Community Programs
Edmonton's Community Programs are designed to help strengthen communities by providing access to community events, safe neighbourhoods and equal access to leisure activites and facilities.
Block Parties
Neighbourhood block parties are an opportunity for people to meet and get to know each other and work together on neighbourhood projects.
Community Recreation Support Program
The Community Recreation Support Program provides eligible non-profit agencies with complimentary admissions to City-operated attractions and recreation facilities and considers requests for facility rental discounts.
Family Day Unplugged
The City of Edmonton has joined 21 municipalities in the Edmonton Evergreen FCSS Region to challenge residents to unplug from technology and reconnect with family and friends on Family Day.
Have a Heart-Give Smart
Edmontonians are being asked to donate dollars to social service agencies that help people in need instead of giving money to panhandlers.
Joint Use Agreement
Joint Use Agreements specify how facilities and land can be used. These agreements provide access to school facilities, City recreational facilities and sports fields for students and community groups after school hours.
Leisure Access Program
The Leisure Access Program allows eligible low-income Edmontonians to access participating City of Edmonton recreation facilities at a reduced rate.
REACH Edmonton
REACH Edmonton is a collaborative initiative between the City of Edmonton and community organizations whose goal is to connect Edmontonians with tips, tools and resources for building a safe and caring community.

Space For Non-profit Organizations
Non-profit organizations in Edmonton are increasingly challenged to find suitable space from which to provide programming and services to Edmontonians. Resources such as Edmonton SpaceFinder and toolkits for finding or developing space are meant to assist with addressing these challenges.
Walkable Edmonton
Walkable Edmonton provides expertise in and resources for design for walkability, offers resources to support advocacy for walkability and provides resources for active transportation such as inline skating, cross-country training and cycling.
