Staying Safe
Staying safe is important for people of all ages. The following safety tips will help you to be safe.

As a child in preschool I should:
- Know my address and phone number
- Not go anywhere without an adult I know
- Not cross the street alone
- Wear my bike helmet while riding my bike
- Not talk to strangers
- Tell your parents when you leave the house
- Talk to your parents about things that scare you
As a school age child I should:
- Internet
- Never talk to someone you do not know
- Do not give out your personal information
- Tell your parents if something on the internet scares you
- Bullying
- Tell a parent or teacher that you trust if you or someone you know is being bullied
- Yell “STOP” if you see someone being bullied
- Do not call the bully names
- What to do in an Emergency
- Call 9-1-1
- Tell them what is wrong and where you are
- Stay calm and answer the questions the best you can
- Listen to the person on the phone, they will tell you what to do next

- Call someone and let them know you arrived safely
