About the 124 Youth Program

Working in partnership with The 124th Street Drop-in Association and The City of Edmonton’s Community Services, 124 Youth is a community initiative which provides a positive, fun, and skill-building environment within the 124th Street area. Intended for Inglewood, Westmount, Prince Charles, and other surrounding areas, we are a youth-driven program, meaning our activities, events, and program goals are based on the interests, requests, and needs of our participants. Our programs are for youth aged 12 to 17, and we aim to provide opportunities for youth that they may not otherwise have. 124 Youth is a chance to positively engage teenagers who are looking for more to do with their evenings and weekends, or those who want to give back to their community.

We offer free drop-in sessions, free special events, free skills-courses, and organize volunteer service projects with our youth-participants.

Drop-in Sessions

Sumo Suits Actvity

Happening every Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 4pm to 7pm at Inglewood School (11515 127th Street), our program leaders invite teens to get involved in a variety of sports, activities, and to expand their interests with our cool equipment like Omnikin ball, ping pong, duct tape art, jewelry making, and more. Our leaders are always interested in hearing what teens would like to do!

Special Events

Once a week, 124 Youth goes off-site for special events - all at no cost! All we require is a signed permission slip from guardians, and good attitude from our participants. Saturday events are limited to 20 participants, so we encourage youth to attend our drop-ins to reserve a spot on the sign-up list. Priority for spots is given to youth who sign-up ahead of time, but new youth can always show up on Saturday and try their luck. We love meeting new participants!

Special events can include:

  • Bowling
  • Festivals and Public Events
  • Golf
  • IMAX Films
  • Cooking Classes
  • Martial Arts
  • Outdoor Survival Skills
  • Paintball or Laser Tag
  • Pottery and Painting
