Neighbourhood Engagement

The City of Edmonton works with residents, community leaders and other organizations to make Edmonton one of Canada’s most livable cities.

Relationships build a neighbourhood; we help bring Edmontonians together at the neighbourhood level, so they can collectively identify the assets of their local area and use them to enhance their neighbourhood.

Through the Neighbourhood Engagement Strategy process, residents strengthen their skills and connections by working  together to undertake projects that are desired by the community.

Engage your neighbourhood

  • Think about all the great resources, connections and people in your neighbourhood.
  • Think about a really great way to make the community better, share it with someone and come up with a plan together.
  • Share and discuss your ideas with others.
  • Form a group of at least six other people who share a  great idea and are willing to work together and with others to make it happen.

Need some ideas?

This toolkit has been created to provide you with tips and tools for bringing the people in your neighbourhood together.
