Public Consultations
In July 2012, heavy rain caused flooding and sewer back up in many homes in Edmonton. Drainage Services is hosting a number of public meetings for residents affected by the storms.
Public consultation meetings provide information about the causes of flooding, recommendations about upgrades and improvements, the progress of the projects, and to get feedback and hear concerns from the attendees.
Starting in May, the City of Edmonton Drainage Services will host follow-up public meetings for residents affected by the storms. The meetings are intended to present findings and recommendations from the engineering studies to the communities impacted, and give residents the opportunity to discuss these findings and provide a schedule for moving forward.
