Cremation

We listen to the changing needs of our customers. Many families are choosing cremation cemetery arrangements. Cremation arrangements have risen from 25% in the 1970s to over 60% in 2002. Industry forecasts suggest that over 80% of families will choose cremation cemetery arrangements in the future.

How will the remains be interred?

You can hold private, intimate memorials of your own with the deceased’s cremated remains. You can also choose to scatter, bury or keep the remains.

Note: The cremated remains will have a burial permit or cremation certificate with them. Please have this available to give to City staff. This needs to be done before the ceremony takes place.
