Community Investment Operating Grant
The City of Edmonton Community Investment Operating Grant program provides operating assistance to Edmonton's non-profit organizations whose activities benefit citizens of Edmonton.
Eligibility
Your organization must be:
- Edmonton-based
- Primarily serving Edmontonians
- Registered under appropriate provincial or federal legislation as a non-profit for at least 1 year, and have an open membership
Your organization's programs, services, and activities:
- Must have a primary mandate to deliver in the social, multicultural or recreation/amateur sport not-for-profit sector
- Should not substantially duplicate the activities of other applicants or other government-supported organizations
Allocation
Your organization may apply for up to 25% of its total operating expenditures for the previous fiscal year.
Maximum grant award: $20,000
Minimum grant award: $650
Priorities
Social Service is the provision of programs and activities that help the city's residents strengthen personal or community life.
Multiculturalism is the practice of promotion of relations among individuals and groups in which ethnic, racial, religious, and linguistic attributes are prized and respected.
Recreation/Amateur Sport is an activity in which individuals choose to participate in their leisure time, whether that activity is physical, social or intellectual.

Application Deadline
The Application deadline for 2011 CIOG funding is Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 4:30pm. You will recieve an email shortly after the deadline confirming that we have recieved your application.
Any applications we receive after that date will not be considered for the 2012 Community Investment Operating Grant.
No extensions will be granted.
