Awards & Recognition

The City of Edmonton values and awards the efforts of individuals, groups and organizations that bring recognition to the city and its residents.

The awards cover a very broad spectrum of activities and achievements - across culture and sports to science and community service. The City also recognizes those who try to make what Edmonton has to offer accessible to the greatest number of people.

Good Neighbour Awards
The Good Neighbour Awards is an open call for all citizens of Edmonton to nominate a neighbour in their community who is helping achieve a vibrant and connected neighbourhood.

Mayor's Awards
Mayor's Awards are given annually to individuals, organizations and businesses within Edmonton that demonstrate a commitment to persons with disabilities.

Salute to Excellence Awards
Salute to Excellence honours Edmontonians who have contributed to the unique and diverse fabric of our community.

Snow Angels
Snow Angels is an awareness and recognition program encouraging Edmontonians to help a neighbour in need by shovelling their snow and to acknowledge those who volunteered their time to shovel as a City of Edmonton Snow Angel.
