MacEwan LRT Station
MacEwan is one of three new stations on the Metro LRT Line, serving central and northwest Edmonton.
Built as the centrepiece of a large landscaped public gathering area, this two-storey station features:
- Overhead pedestrian walkway connecting to north and south pathways
- Fully accessible 5-car platform
- Two heated waiting areas
- Park-like landscaped plaza spaces suitable for hosting seasonal events
- A multi-use trail extending north along 104 Street and east and west along 105 Avenue
MacEwan Station will primarily serve:
- MacEwan University students and staff
- Downtown commuters
- Residents of surrounding neighbourhoods
- Downtown North Edge and 107 Avenue businesses and patrons
- Future Rogers Place and arena district patrons and staff
The LRT operates at street level on the Metro LRT line. The TraXSafe program offers safety tips and information on what to be aware of when traveling on or near the train tracks.
