Service Standards
The Edmonton Transit System adheres to services standards in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of routes and services.
Service is provided between 5am to 2am, and incorporates morning and afternoon peak service, off-peak service throughout weekdays, evening and late nights, and service throughout weekend and holiday operating periods.
Service guidelines provide direction on issues including cost recovery expectations (45% farebox recovery), minimum passenger levels required to maintain service, transit zone placement, and maximum walking distances to bus stops.
