The ETS@Work program partners with Edmonton employers to provide staff members with a savings of up to 24% on the standard adult Arc fare cap.
Participants in the program may also qualify for an additional federal tax credit.
Corporate Partner employees who need to use regional buses may continue to use their existing card. However, they must load personal purse funds to pay for any region-specific fares. This requirement applies to all regional bus travel, even for trips that remain entirely within Edmonton city limits.
How Does the Program Work?
Step 1: The employer signs on to the program agreeing to purchase a minimum of 10 Arc cards per month. The employer is required to match the ETS discount of 12% off the standard adult monthly Arc fare cap, thus, providing their employees with a total discount of about 24%. Employers are welcome to increase their portion of the discount at their own discretion.
Step 2: Employers are responsible for contracting with participating employees and administering the payroll deductions.
Step 3: The employers are responsible for ordering, managing and loading funds onto the Arc cards.
Step 4: Employers need to add funds at least 5 business days before the start of the next month to ensure the Arc cards are ready to be used.
Employer Responsibilities
Step 1: Contact ETS@Work to get the information you need to get started.
Step 2: Once you have established that your organization is ready to proceed, you (the employer) must complete the ETS@Work Employer Application form.
Step 3: Once approved, formal agreements will be sent to you to be signed by the appropriate authority and returned to ETS for completion.
Step 4: After the formal agreements have been completed by all parties, an account will be created for ordering. The ETS@Work Program Coordinator will arrange a date with you (the employer) to place your first order.
