Tips on Using DATS

Trips to Transit Centres

Some clients are interested in being picked up or dropped off at a transit centre in order to use low floor buses, LRT and community buses. To help meet these needs, DATS accepts booking to Transit Centres that are wheelchair accessible, sheltered from the weather and have a telephone.

Pick-ups and drop-offs are accepted at the following Transit Centres:

Belvedere Transit Centre - 129 Avenue & 60 Street

Government Centre Transit Centre - 97 Avenue & 110 Street

Century Park Transit Centre - 111 Street & 23 Avenue

Jasper Place Transit Centre - 157 Street & 100 Avenue

Millgate Transit Centre - 86 Street & 49 Avenue

Mill Woods Transit Centre - 23 Avenue & Hewes Way

Northgate Transit Centre - 97 Street & 137 Avenue

Southgate Transit Centre - 111 Street & 50 Avenue

Westmount Transit Centre - 111 Avenue & 135 Street

West Edmonton Mall Transit Centre - 87 Avenue & 175 Street

Lost and Found

Lost something on a DATS vehicle?  Please call 311.   All lost and found items are not handled by DATS.

Baggage and Parcels on DATS

Passengers may only take the number of bags and parcels that they themselves can carry, usually a two bag limit.   Wheelchair and scooter passengers' baggage should not extend beyond the dimension of the mobility aid (i. e. if the wheelchair has handles, baggage should not extend past the handles or below he bottom of the seat).   Drivers cannot help with packages or baggage, so if assistance is required please travel with an escort.   Due to the limited space and safety concerns in the event of a sudden stop, bags and parcels should be stored on passengers' laps when traveling.   For the safety and comfort of everyone traveling on the vehicle, storage of baggage and parcels in the aisle and on the floor is not permitted.
