Alberta Ballet

About the Alberta Ballet
Alberta Ballet is singular in its place in the arts of Alberta after 43 years of solid achievement. It is our Province’s standard bearer incorporating Alberta’s name into its own and reflecting Alberta’s deep values in its art and displaying those values across Canada and into the world. We Albertans value innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity. Alberta Ballet lives those qualities in its courageous creations; making the amazing out of music and movement.
We Albertans value the athletic. The dancers are extreme athletes, training from childhood to defy gravity, to build endurance and to move with grace. Alberta Ballet lives pride, generosity of spirit and admiration for achievement. Building on a rigorous base of classical skills, Alberta Ballet is inventing new variations and forms of dance for the 21st Century incorporating classical, jazz, contemporary and show dancing traditions.
