Edmonton Solar-Electric Pilot Program
In response to greater demand for responsive technologies and focused approaches to reducing CO2 emissions, the City of Edmonton introduced a short-term solar-electric pilot program that offered a limited number of rebates for home and business owners interested in installing solar-electric systems to generate electricity. This program is now closed.
New Provincial Rebate for Taxi Operators
The province, through Climate Change Central, is offering rebates to taxi operators who are transitioning their fleet to hybrid vehicles. All Alberta taxi owners/operators who purchase and register a new gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle as a taxi on or after July 1, 2008 are eligible for a rebate of up to $3,000.
ecoACTION Community Funding Program
Funding is available through the EcoAction Community Funding Program for projects that address Environment Canada’s priority issues of Clean Air, Climate Change, Clean Water, and Nature. Application deadline is November 1 each year.

Alberta Ecotrust Community Grants
This program is designed to support community-based projects that typically focus on local opportunities for change through stewardship and action. These projects must be completed in one year.
