October to December 2012, 60 Edmontonians were part of the Citizens' Panel on Energy and Climate Challenges.

We're involved with numerous events throughout the year, including Earth Hour, Earth Day, Environment Week and other special events.

Alberta Emerald Award

Do you know of a Business, Community Group, Education Group, Youth Group or Individual that is doing good things for the environment? Nominate them for an Alberta Emerald Award!

Charles Labatiuk Award for Environmental Excellence

This award recognizes City of Edmonton employees who are environmental champions. It is named in honour of the late Charles Labatiuk, Ph.D., P.Eng., who was a long-time employee of the City of Edmonton and a passionate environmentalist.
