Partner in Parks
Be a "Partner in Parks"
The Edmonton Horticultural Society and the City of Edmonton together promote and encourage your involvement in beautifying our community. The Partners in Parks program makes it possible for you as an individual, family, school or community group to contribute to Edmonton's standing as a Community in Bloom.
By maintaining a flower bed, a cul-de-sac island, a bit of parkland or land along a roadway you can help make Edmonton an even more beautiful place to live.
Your efforts will:
- Boost pride in Edmonton
- Bring beauty to your neighbourhood
- Give you personal satisfaction and enjoyment
The Edmonton Horticultural Society is not only interested in growing plants but is also dedicated to beautification of our surroundings through horticulture.
Through its numerous programs, the Society seeks to share knowledge through public meetings and events. The Edmonton Horticultural Society recognizes the contributions made by our many Partners and offers a "Horticultural Society 'Partners' Membership" to all Partners in Parks.
This membership offers:
- Discounts at the horticultural businesses listed on the back panel of the Edmonton Horticultural Society newsletter "Gardener's Gate"
- Discounted books and publications from EHS
- Access to Perennial Exchange: bring perennial and trade them for other species and varieties
- An opportunity to enter Partners in Parks projects in the Garden Competition

The parks department is active in enhancing and beautifying open spaces and facilities.
Through the Partners in Parks program, the City encourages community involvement in beautification.
The contributions of partners provide for an enhanced service level: annuals are planted, shrub beds maintained, weeds eliminated and litter removed from public green areas. This enhancement makes Edmonton an even better place to live.
If you are interested in being a "Partner in Parks", the City of Edmonton will help you get started in selecting a site or designing a project.
If you have a project in mind, please contact the parks service area nearest you.
