Edmonton was the winner of the “over 300,000” population category of the 2009 Communities in Bloom Awards!

From attractive yards to community clean ups, tree plantings and heritage preservation, Edmonton in Bloom is about Edmontonians creating a flourishing community.

  Showcases groups, projects, and businesses that are making Edmonton beautiful.
  The 2009 Edmonton in Bloom Awards were hosted at City Hall on Thursday, August 6th.
  
• Communities in Bloom national program
  Edmonton has participated in the national CiB program since 1995.
  National judges visited Edmonton in August 2009. The national judges evaluate Edmonton based on tidiness, environmental responsibility, community involvement, natural heritage, cultural heritage, landscapes, trees, flowers, and turf.
