Stormwater Utility
In January 2003, the City's stormwater was moved from property taxes to a new utility structure. Removing funding from property tax revenue is a significant development in Edmonton's Stormwater Drainage Servicing Strategy.
Occupants are charged a fee based on a formula related to the area of land use zoning for their property. A typical homeowner will pay approximately $6 per month. The charge appears on the utility bill.
