Edmonton Urban Design Awards 2011
The City once again held its biennial urban design awards, to promote its goal of transforming Edmonton’s urban form. The awards recognize those individuals, organizations, firms and projects that have set a high standard for urban, architectural and landscape design.
The 2011 Edmonton Urban Design Awards was held in partnership with the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada - Alberta Chapter, and in consultation with the Alberta Professional Planners Institute, the Alberta Association of Landscape Architects, the Alberta Association of Architects, the Edmonton Design Committee and the Edmonton Arts Council.
This is the fourth time the City held these awards, with competitions held previously in 2009, 2007 and 2005.
The awards were presented at a gala at City Hall on November 10, 2011.
