Edmonton-Strathcona County Joint Planning Study
The City of Edmonton and Strathcona County share a 40 kilometre boundary along their respective east/west edges.
The two communities are engaged in a joint planning study that includes those lands that form our joint boundary.
The goal of this study is to ensure there is a coordinated approach between the two municipalities for future planning. As well, it will facilitate open communication for ongoing decision-making and issue resolution.
This study will result in recommendations to both Edmonton City Council and Strathcona County Council to address immediate and long-term needs for planning and development within the Joint Planning Study area.
