Community Liaison Groups
The City of Edmonton is committed to enhancing communication with communities regarding undeveloped school building sites.
Community Liaison Groups include two volunteers from each community who serve as liaisons between their neighbourhood and City administration.
These volunteers meet with City personnel to receive updates, share community concerns, and ask questions about programs and progress. They focus on the program under development in their community: First Place, Seniors' Housing, or the remaining sites with uses yet to be determined.
In creating these groups, the City’s objective is to improve each community’s understanding of the uses approved or proposed on each site, as well as increase its own understanding of community concerns and questions.
