Blue Quill Surplus School Sites
Two school sites in Blue Quill on 112 Street, between Saddleback Road and 25 Avenue, have been declared surplus. One has been approved for seniors’ housing, and the other has been approved for First Place housing.
The design engagement involving eight residents from the Blue Quill neighbourhood is complete.

Design Engagement Session 2 (March 17, 2016)
Landmark Homes, City staff and eight Blue Quill community volunteers met to discuss final layout plans, landscape concept design, and technical reports related to traffic, geotechnical testing and environmental site assessments.

February 2016
Design Engagement Session 1 (February 24, 2016)
Landmark Homes, City staff and eight Blue Quill community volunteers met to explore design issues important to residents including: parking, transit, safety, emergency access, and fencing. After the discussion, three different site design options were shared and input was gathered.
The engagement meeting information package(7MB) includes details about site design options and other topics. The engagement meeting notes summarizes the discussion and the key points raised during the session.
December 2015
City Council approved the relocation of the First Place site and Seniors’ Housing site. The updated site map shows the new locations of the sites.
