Recreation Facility Master Plan

The City of Edmonton is proud to be developing a new 10-year Recreation Facility Master Plan. This plan will provide direction for the City’s existing infrastructure, including guidelines for whether aging recreation facilities should be maintained, upgraded, repurposed, or closed. It will answer the questions: What are the recreational needs of our citizens? What are the leisure trends the City should be preparing for?
The new plan will build on the successful features of the 2005-2015 Recreation Facility Master Plan, as well as the City’s many related strategies, projects, research studies and engagement activities. It will also be informed by Edmonton’s public through a series of consultations and workshops. Stay connected to this page for a list of upcoming dates, documents and opportunities to get involved.
