Mill Woods Recreation Centre Master Plan
The City of Edmonton has completed a Master Plan for the renewal of the Mill Woods Recreation Centre. This plan is based on a community needs assessment that proposes to enhance the current amenities and meet the future program and service needs at the Centre.

Project Overview
The Mill Woods Recreation Centre Master Plan is based on a community needs assessment that proposes to enhance the current amenities and meet the future program and service needs at the centre. Program enhancements include:
Multi-Purpose Spaces
- Enlarged lobby space
- Multi-purpose rooms for a variety of activities including art, gatherings, meetings and dedicated youth room
Enhanced Fitness Centre
- Increased space for weight training, cardio & stretching
- Walking / running track
- 2-3 fitness studios for a variety of activities including yoga, dance, mind & body, pilates, zumba and spin
Retain Racquet/Squash Courts
Gymnasium
- Drop-in and scheduled activities
Aquatics Area
- Enlarged teach pool & whirlpool, spectator area, family change rooms
Arena
- Warm-up areas
- Meeting room to support tournaments
